Daddy,

I planned this moment.

I saw myself sitting by your bed side

asking you all that I was too shy to ask,

telling you all that I was too shy to tell.

And you just smile with pride, happiness, and awkwardness.

Then I say I love you

and that I am Erez of songs, trips, and French wine – all because of you.

You smile, we look at each other in silence

and separate.

Before your last trip, I came to say goodbye.

I didn't hug you or say anything.

I just hope that you saw in my eyes
