Dad left at the peak

 
ABA (Dad), blessed be his memory, died suddenly.  He was only 55 years old.  Despite the shock and the endless pain, let us not forget the good things that happened to him in his life.
 
They say of great sportsmen (I think Pele from Brazil is one of them) that they decide to quit while at the peak of their professional life, so the public will remember them in this high state.
 
Dad also retired from this world when he was at his peak:
  • About his health, he seemed healthy, strong, and fresh until his last day.  He always helped others - old and young the same, he never asked for help from anyone; like Moses our Teacher, that "his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated".
  • About his family, Dad had a chance to see happy days in his last year - marriage of son, marriage of daughter, hiking with the new families, and on his last day a special party, where he captured his achievements, kind of a "Good Bye Party".
  • He passed away two days after his birthday.  ABA, blessed be his memory, was born on the 17th day of the month of Iyar, but this year on his birthday he was still abroad.  It took him two days to come back and report his trip to work, and then celebrate the birthday.  In that he also reminds us of Moses our Teacher, who was born and died on the same day (7th day of the month of Adar).
  • About his job, ABA became a vice-president in the "Carmel Forge" factory.  He saw his beloved factory coming out of recession (that is what he said in his last night - "we are already on the other side of the recession"), getting orders, and hiring new employees.
  • About the state, ABA served in the military reserve with pride and received an honor of appreciation when he was released at age 50, together with an honor degree of major. 
Still, the real comfort will come only with the revival of the dead.
